HARK (v3.1.1.1)
🪲 Bug Fixes
🆕 What’s New in v3.1.1.1
Audio Engine Improvements (Native C++)
- Eliminated Hissing/Buzzing: Re-tuned the Dynamics Processor (Limiter) with optimized attack and release constants. This prevents the "pumping" effect and high-frequency "chatter" reported at high gain levels.
- Fixed Snapping & Cracking: Implemented a Pre-buffering System. The engine now maintains a stable cushion of audio frames, preventing the "snaps" caused by minor timing differences between the microphone and the Bluetooth output.
- Improved Clarity: Replaced hard waveform clipping with a Soft-Knee Gain Reduction algorithm. Instead of squaring off the sound waves (which causes harsh distortion), the engine now scales the volume down smoothly when peaks are detected.
- Increased Buffer Stability: Doubled the internal FIFO capacity to handle system jitter more effectively.
User Interface & Experience
- Better Clarity in Settings: Renamed "Disable Hearing Aid Priority" to "Enable Bluetooth Headset Support". This change makes it much clearer that the toggle is intended for users with standard Bluetooth headphones rather than ASHA hearing aids.
Maintenance
- Refactored preference observers in the AudioStreamingService for better performance and reliability.
