- Replace PEM/private-key-shaped examples in api/thousandeyes.yaml with placeholders so public secret scanners do not flag the repository.
- Harden GitHub Actions repository policy: restrict allowed actions, enforce SHA pinning, and ensure rulesets protect the current ci.yml and release.yml files.
- Replace individual CODEOWNERS entries with an approved GitHub team.
- Update the Go toolchain from go 1.24.9 to a patched supported version and rerun govulncheck.
- Fix README release/install inconsistencies: branch main vs master, and TE_VERSION=v1.2.3 vs release tags without v.
