### Open Access

Open Access refers to the practice of making research publications (primarily journal articles, but also books) openly available without paywalls. Publishing Open Access is an important part of Open Science and may be a requirement with grant providers. The University Library can support you with it. The VU Open Access Policy and more detailed information about different ways of open access publishing, and how VU Amsterdam supports those, can be found on the [VU Open Access page](https://vu.nl/en/employee/open-access).
