Version 1.14.0

We are pleased to announce the release of version 1.14.0 of UFS_UTILS.

The UFS_UTILS project contains utilities for the NCEP models.

Highlights In This Release:

• Porting/Build Updates -
  • To Rocky8 OS on Jet. (See #918).
  • To Rocky9 OS on Orion. (See #963).
  • Added module files for the 'cloud'. (See #936 and #952).
  • Added module files and other updates to build/run on GAEA-C5. (See #934)
  • Updated to spack-stack 1.9.2. (See #983 and #1077)
  • Ported to Ursa. (See #1064).
• ocnice_prep - New utility to down-scale ice and ocean restarts from 1/4-degree data. (See #929).
• regrid_sfc - New utility to regrid soil increment data. (See #1032).
• cpld_gridgen
  • Fixed angles on Bu for use by CICE. (See #921)
  • Deprecated obsolete files. Generated new remapping weight files required for the ocnice_prep utility. (See #943)
• chgres_cube
  • option to build without the nemsio, sigio and sfcio libraries. (See #925).
  • added mask consistency check. (See #1078).
• global_cycle
  • Updated soil update to use JEDI data. (See #872)
  • Updated to process tiled GSI increment land files. (See #1008).
  • Added option to support coupled model configurations. (See #1051).
• orog - Cleaned up obsolete options and routines. Reorganized into modules. New unit tests. (See #932, #940 and #970.)
• Added threading to filter_topo and orog_gsl. (See #939)
• gdas_init utility - support added to C6. (See #1035).
