Avoid hiding parent modal when opening a new child modal ?

Hi,
Is there a way to avoid hiding main/parent modal when opening a child modal?
I have a big modal, with an Options button on it. It basically opens a small modal.
I'd like to keep open/visible the main modal and display the second modal on top of it, but I don't see an option to do it.
