The integrated toolkit version is the current supported implementation. It provides a deterministic offline default, explicit --online metadata checks, fixture-backed regression tests, and CrossRef, Semantic Scholar, and arXiv verification paths.
This standalone repository was an early design prototype. The useful generic ideas have been folded into Academic Writing Toolkit, while project-specific reference rules and self-citation assumptions were intentionally not migrated into the public toolkit.
Do not install this repository for new work. Keep using /verify-refs from Academic Writing Toolkit.
